Unclear on the concept: pricing yourself out of the market. Comcast raises price on local sports package. [View all]

It's happening in the San Francisco Bay Area. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Comcast Xfinity sport package subscriptions are moving to higher tier pricing that will add nearly $50 to an existing cable subscription. Bay Area sports teams affected are the San Francisco Giants, Golden State Warriors and San Jose Sharks.

In addition to NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California (Giants, Warriors and Sharks), the Ultimate TV package will also includes access to major league channels for the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL, along with over 50 other channels.

I have no idea what this pushes the cable bill to, especially if you add high-speed streaming. Over $200.00 a month? Anybody know?

Regardless, no televised Giants baseball for me this summer. No Warriors. Radio only.

I just re-subscribed to the MLB At-Bat radio subscription at the winter bargain price of $14.99 so I can catch the Guardians. That was a no-brainer.
