5. Very similar architecture

A lot of the French cathedrals have a Gothic style, with flying buttresses, gargoyles, and a rib vault ceiling. More specifically, it is a High Gothic architecture. Reims Cathedral is the first example of this. Later on, many of them became Romanesque.
