He said "All politics is local." Truer words were never spoken. O'Neill was a Massachusetts Democrat who was Speaker of the House. In Texas, he would have been lucky to be elected city dog catcher in El Paso.

The poll sampled 369 voters. Who were they? Texas has more than five million Democratic voters.
