17. In a capitalist economy

Money is always king.

FDR kept that sloppy economic system patch together with string and baling twine. But we allowed those weak supports to be removed thanks to Reagan and the bushes. Even Clinton signed the repeal of the Glass-Steagall act. So everyone was on board dismantling the supports placed on our economy after the Republican Great Depression.

So then we got vulture capitalism which led to end stage capitalism, which led to an oligarchy that gave us a King.

Capitalism and democracy are not compatible.
