And New York also 5 other southern states. My cousins taught me which water fountain to use. There were places we were not allowed to go . There was the colored section where you could be semi free.
You might not know the subtle racism but it’s there . New York was no prize but segregation was not the law. Black folks have learned to survive by seeing the signs unfortunately our Hispanic brothers and sisters did not and they are paying an ungodly price. When southerners vote for a racist , they are all right with his racism. Many white people on this board are not speaking to relatives because they voted for a racist felon.
