I dont see it. My young adult children were raised in 4 of the most redneck states you can find. They have never been exposed to racism anymore than a kid in Connecticut The same that exists up north exists down here. I moved to a notable old KKK town in Georgia. Used to have big rallys and was a sundowner town in the day. Everyone made comments to me about it and I moved in, my neighbor was black. His neighbor was black. Nobody cares. Kentucky I lived next door to a lesbian couple. Nobody cared. Not everyone in the country supports or believes in DEI .not even among democrats. The most racist conversations and exposure Ive seen has been in Europe. Not here. But its also not in the South where Ive lived.
