So they take massive supplements and make every effort to try to live long enough to benefit from being among the few to live forever. Presumably afterwards they will live with pills and food grown by and prepared by robots. So any kind of autocracy or authoritarian regime is just fine so long as it gets them past the finish line.

The Singularity is possible, but I think the one they envisage is highly unlikely. What will happen is that technology advances will bring us to an inflection point where there is enough abundance for all to be comfortable, if we choose to share. It is the only way which works. The elitist techbro vision is not practical or desirable.
