2. I do remember that. Both of my grandfathers fought in WWI and my great uncle was awarded the Silver Star

My maternal grandfather was an immigrant from Poland, they made him a citizen and sent to France to fight for his new country. And my paternal grandfather and his brother were the sons of immigrants from Ireland, they joined up together. My great uncle fought at the front and my grandfather delivered ammunition to the front by horseback. I have his discharge papers. And I never met either of my grandfathers, they both died in the '40s, but at least they came home and had families. My father lost his own father when he was 12.

On the other hand, no one in TFG's family has ever served in the military. According to Mary Trump's book, Don Jr. considered joining the military, but his father said he'd disown him. And yet TFG's dream was to have a military parade in his honor (like Putin), though he continues to disparage actual veterans, particularly those who were injured or gave their lives.
