Speaking of callouts

Apparently I am now exhibit A in the vast feminist conspiracy against men on DU. A certain member decided to call me out in GD. He uses the same quote that someone else posted to me a couple of days ago. At that time I asked the poster what he thought was so incriminating about that post. (You will see the post in question linked in the jury results below--on the post calling me out.) The person never answered my question about what he found so troubling about my comment. But the second member's use of it indicates he saw it as evidence of my intent to harass men on this site.

The post was actually in response to a thread by Quinnox that was hidden by a jury. That thread made a series of generalizations about men--generalizations I thought quite sexist and negative--but that he assumed were inherent to all men. Quinnox claimed its hiding was due to alert stalking. My crime seems to be finding some amusement in that thread rather than complaining about it or alerting on it. That I was going with the flow with his comments about men is now used as some sort of evidence of malicious intent on my part. Some members have obviously gotten together to concoct a story where that post somehow represents exhibit A in the vast misandrist conspiracy on DU. When they have to dig so deep and invent fantasies as evidence of their so-called persecution, that really says a lot.

You'll note that the linked post below also accused a small group of starting everything. This is in the awesome thread about pics that create a hostile environment that received over 160 recs. Did I or anyone here post the SI pics or the Kate Upton pics? No. My crime was staying out of those two threads and attempting to deal with the issue in a positive manner by posting pictures of athletes, an alternative SI cover. 154 members indicated they enjoyed the thread, whereas two members called it "sickening" and an example of promoting "victimization." Because, after all, what conveys victimization better than a kick ass athlete? But apparently a few members (presumably HOF) and me in particular are responsible for all that ails DU, including the wacky idea that liberals might respect the the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that establishes the legal basis for prohibitions against a hostile environment. That crazy radical LBJ. He really was an extremist. Fifty years later, those provisions are unacceptable to some men on this site, and they've decided to blame it all on us, and me in particular.

This jury verdict provides more evidence for what we already know. Callouts against members who don't count (like Tarheel Dem or me) are acceptable, but if a woman makes an oblique reference to a DUer who matters, never mind if no one else knows who she is talking about, now that is an "abuse of our 'privilege.'"

Dishonest callout. This is the second time someone has posted that quote as some sort of evidence of maliciousness on my part, but this one doesn't even post it to me directly but as a callout to establish some claim that I'm persecuting him. My comment was following a thread by Quinnox he wrote making a bunch of generalizations about men being this and that. It
was hidden, due to what Quinnox claimed was alert stalking. Now my crime is enjoying one of their threads instead of complaining about it or alerting on it. This is a malicious and dishonest callout designed to create animosity. It also shows a complete absence of integrity that he doesn't confront me with the post to see what I meant. That this is the smoking gun for how oppressed men are on DU is pretty sad. But mainly this is simply a callout that dishonestly attacks someone not part of that subthread (until a minute ago when I saw the callout) for no purpose other than to sow discord. This kind of deliberate dishonesty makes DU suck.
