our cat, Cleo was missing for close to a week. This was over 30 years ago, all we could do, in our neighborhood, was call her name out and knock on doors to see if anybody had seen her in the past few days. Everyday, I went on a neighborhood walk, 2 to 4 blocks in all directions. At home, I always called her name in my head, heart, and out loud, but was always calling her name. One day, when, I called her name out loud, she responded. She was always home, stuck in an old evaporate cooler stored on the side of our house, (until the yearly clean up, which would have hauled it away.)
Anyway, it took several days of myself and my family looking and calling for her to return. She was always there. We just hadn't looked in the right spot.
I hope you find her.
Though, I am not part of any group, I once told my older sister who was searching for a religion/spirituality that felt good for her as she was dying, that I was a born again pagan. The Catholic priest who she talked to, got a good chuckle, but didn't really help her. (My family was raised in a very Mormon cultish sort of way.) I left their church first. Sorry if this is too much information. My sister died in 2006, on Ground Hog's Day, I always light a candle for her.
