5. It depends on why it's hard

I'm playing Dark Souls now, and that game is insanely unforgiving and challenging. For the most part, it's fun, and the hard parts are satisfying to complete but it has its fair share of irritating issues. One example is an early boss, where until you learn how to react, you will lose the fight in seconds. Which would be alright if the nearest save point wasn't a boring 5 minute slog away, so instead of spending your time learning how to defeat the boss, you're spending the majority of your time traveling. A spawn point nearer to the boss wouldn't make it any easier, but would cut down on the traveling timesink.
