Most of them played college baseball, and quite a few were in the minor leagues. Beyond that, they really recruit the super-athletic ones who can do amazing gymnastics. On top of all that, they must have a real sense of humor and showmanship. I'd say it is harder to find the right Banana Ball player than to stock an MLB team.

I used to enjoy MLB. But that was when there were stolen bases, triples, suicide bunts and hitters who could do something with the bat other than swing for the fences. I probably haven't sat through a whole game on TV, even World Series, for 15-20 years. I do go to our minor league games from time to time, but that is usually with groups that are good company.
