"...a septic inspiration to impressionable mouth-breathers..." [View all]

That inspired bit of insult comes from the latest Carl Hiaasen novel, "Razor Girl." Like most of his novels, this one is set in Hiaasen's native Florida, with all manner of very bad people at work, and some people trying to be good, but having a tough time managing it. And all of it funny as hell, of course. Highly recommended.

The quoted language above is directed at a loathsome redneck character, trying to get a part on a "Duck Dynasty" style show. Once I read those words, I figured they had much wider application to the all-too-real public figures we're currently plagued with. Much obliged, Mr. Hiaasen.
