As a Texan, not much on cold settings. Too claustrophobic for me, but this has a good mix of climate situations. Always looking for new stuff. Right now going back to old British detectives. the cosies are too sweetsie for me and I don't like the hard core either. Good luck to your friend. She is a good writer.
