I've had this book on my TBR for some time now simply because she wrote it (Poisonwood Bible hooked me and I've read most of her others, as well), but since I can only use the library to read, it will be a long time before I get it.

Because of my own experiences over the past several years, which I won't detail here, I was in tears by the time I read this interview. Especially the last two paragraphs. I cannot wrap my head around how we can have people like this with so much vision and compassion, and yet there are people like the republicans, Purdue Pharma's leadership, and Elon Musk to name just a few, who set out only to hurt people who have the least in any way to deal with their harm. I imagine I'll never have more than the superficial understanding of how and why they do what they do. There's absolutely no way anyone with a conscience could live with themselves.

On a lighter note, I thought how she wrote it and where it started was waaaaay cool!
