I have several other books about the Marx Brothers. The characters they played were not really characters. They were extensions of their real life personalities.

I am old enough to have seen "You Bet Your Life" on live TV. My parents did not object of us watching it when we were kids.

I remember seeing an aging Groucho on Dick Cavett, singing "Lydia, Oh Lydia, the Encyclopedia, Lydia the Tattooed Lady."
