My daughter brought me a dozen eggs [View all]

I feel rich! Kroger had their Simple Truth brand reduced to $2.01/dozen, not very close to the expiration date.
I had about 18 on hand, that I planned to dole out til my daughter's flock starts to lay and she maybe has some to spare. Since I have a few extra, I'm going to indulge, and fix a few things I missed having. I hard cooked 3 eggs. I put 2 of them to marinate in soy sauce, to make soy eggs. I made egg salad with the other one.
I have some stale bread, the last of a loaf I made, and I'll make some bread pudding. That is the limit of my indulgence. When eggs got more expensive, like from under $1/dozen, to $1.59 or higher, in the late winter, I'd avoid using them. Those were the days :/

Anyway, really glad my daughter got me something that will help me feel like I'm living in a normal time
