Anyone know a good source for authentic horchata (from "tiger nuts"), aka tiger nut milk ? [View all]
I was going to post in Vegetarian/Vegan/Animal Rights but was afraid the "tiger nuts" might be misintreperted, and shaming would follow ... 
There's a lot of commercial "horchata" made only from rice, or sometime w/added almonds, and I can make that myself (and have). I'd like to find something that's closer to what I tried several years ago in a small restaurant catering to foodies, w/a Latin emphasis. Their horchata was made from a traditional Mesoamerican nut-based recipe, IIRC; "tiger nuts" were apparently introduced through Spain (AFAIK) so I think that's probably a good match.
