What's for Dinner, Sat., Jan. 25, 2025 [View all]

Vegetable soup which will have gremolata (finely grated garlic, lemon zest, and fresh parsley). The soup has been in the slow cooker since late morning. Beef stock base, Better than Bouillon (vegetable) to add to the flavor, carrots, garlic, garbanzos, and baby spinach.

Next up will be a vegetable plate where I'll use this new sesame seed dressing recipe I discovered the other day. Of course, I'll have to make it again because it was so delicious I had it all in two meals. I love this dressing so much I even made a special trip to the store to get more mirin.

The vegetables on the plate are broccoli florets, carrot matchsticks, cherry tomatoes, small sweet peppers, and Persian cucumber slices. I'll sprinkle scallion greens over the top.

At some point, a crab cake with Romesco sauce and a lemon slice.

Cherry kombucha.

Lemon ginger hot tea for "dessert."
