2. You can't go far wrong mixing up those ingredients

My own are ground beef mixed with finely chopped onion and garlic powder, black pepper, pinch of thyme. Make the patties 1/2 inch thick. Grease the frypan with oil and butter, use the spatula to turn them over, only, these aren't smashburgers. Serve with mushroom gravy or in a bun or just as they come out of the pan.

Good burgers don't have to be elaborate, just seasoned and left alone to cook, not smashed down into hockey pucks.
