Science can't love me. The Truth can't love me. And I'm pretty sure The Criminal Justice System doesn't love me. (All three of which have been suggested to me at various times, among others.)

"Fake it 'til you make it" is nothing more than encouraging people to work a dishonest program, and I don't lie to myself or others in recovery.

I'm an atheist and the steps ain't for me. And that's fine. But recovery is for everyone, and I get mine in the rooms. But I'm not playing the higher power game.
