There's a reason intercourse and other activities are called "getting lucky" when one takes the risk no matter the status of an individual, their partners and/or groups. Two things along the same thinking: filthy unclean chips and coins at a casino where there's the pain and pleasure of "winning" money; meeting whomever in the world one would "love" by most all definitions.
How else would these infections spread but for a conscious lack of the closest social distancing combined with the lack of acknowledged cognitive knowledge and a self-discipline of avoidance to what is known about the ways in which one would become infected. When the risks of the above paragraph are scrupulously avoided or eroded, humans lose some of their humanity.
Pandemic situations like CoVid brought this out in the worst ways, and the costs were horrific - protect themselves and others, in "love" or succumb to non-pleasurable avoidances of taking that risk. Pain and pleasure are temporary sensations...instant gratification of beliefs and feelings of unproveable faith, not so much, when it begets hates, an emotion, and kills - a fact science knows about a being's heart, brain, or respiration.
