You left out China and the rest of Asia. China has thousands of H2 buses in service right now along with Trucks and now more and more cars. India has now put green hydrogen into their own energy plans.

China sells hydrogen for around $5.00 per kilogram while the price in California is $30+ / kilogram. At $30+ / kg hydrogen makes no sense for anything.

# of H2 stations in China in 2026? Over 500
# of H2 stations in California in 2026? around 50, many closed because of one thing or another.

Why did the price go up from $10 /kg to 3 times that? I have not found an answer to that after searching for 6 years.. Maybe so those opposed to H2 and fuel cells can say "We tried H2 in California but it didn't work".

China has made hydrogen a part of their 5 year plans and have 2040 to 2060 as targets for workable hydrogen. That country said, when they started including hydrogen in their government plans, that Hydrogen is not a perfect fuel and there are problems with it but we can make it work. The US government does not want hydrogen as part of transportation or anything else for that matter and Dump openly lies about it but no one really cares.

For real news about hydrogen watch China, Korea and Japan.

Maybe they all will conclude H2 doesn't work. Maybe they will prove it does. But at least they are doing the work.

Also, battery powered vehicles have their own problems. Some battery powered buses explode, some don't do well in the cold etc.

There's no perfect fuel at this time. Hydrogen should be on the table especially since Dump started the war in Iran, the place where the US and Britain did a "Regime change" in 1953 and brought in the Shah. Trading the current monopoly of Oil for Lithium seems not very smart.
