1. I wish headlines like this would emphasize seriousness/prevealence of deadly snakebites worldwide

without falsely implying Ebola is not the deadly infection that it is. Venomous snakes are far more prevalent throughout the world--increasing the exposure likelihood for humans who often have little chance to receive the needed intervention at all or in time. By contrast, Ebola-infected bats or ingestion of infected "bush-meat" species afford sporadic exposures to humans in geographically limited areas of the world.

Reading that headline would make the layperson think that Ebola's deadly severity had been overblown. In the age of scientific misinformation, this infuriates me.
