Most email filters wrongly look at the content of the emails when they should be looking at the origins of the emails. Unfortunately, IP black lists are not politically correct while they work lots of technical goodness.

The "from" fields in emails are useless since they are easily forged and, being a freeform field, don't even need to contain something resembling an email address.
