When my wife and I lived "Up Nord" in the land of bullshit and beer farts we used to travel quite a distance for a great piece of pie. We would hop on the bikes and go to Osseo to have a piece of one of the Best Pies in Wisconsin at Norski Nook. At that time, Norski Nook was on BOTH sides of the road in two separate buildings. I haven't been there in over 25 years, so things have probably changed. It was a long ride for us, but worth every mile. A piece of pie and a cup of coffee is one of life's little pleasures that we should all enjoy.
We also used to go down to the Goblers. It was East of Madison at Johnson Creek. They had about the best hot turkey sandwich in the world. That too was a long drive that was worth every mile. Sadly they closed.
