2. damn, I just realized that I grew up eating in his restaurants....

I'd never heard of him, but followed the link and there was that big Piggie Park sign with the smiling cartoon pig that I remember so well from my childhood. We used to eat at them when on road trips or when my grandparents came to visit us. Otherwise we had favorite local barbecue joints (I'm from north Georgia). Nonetheless, I've eaten many a pulled pork sandwich at Bessinger's restaurants. I had no clue.
