Another perspective on sunrise at the beach

4. I spend hours just

watching the ocean, listening to the sound of waves breaking and birds singing in the trees. Yes, it does feed my soul.
I try to get here once a year--only a 3 hour drive from home--and October is my favorite month at the beach here, in large part because the sunrises are more often very colorful over the ocean. The shore line faces south at Emerald Isle, so the sun both rises and sets over the water this time of year.
