Run by William Edward Compton.

One thing that happened around 1970 was some one broke into their transmission tower and stole the chrystals for their broadcast frequency. And a hug amount of records.

I woke up one morning to the sound of Phil Motta(?) from one of the pop 40 stations on their frequency. He had heard about their troubles and brought in a huge number of his private collection to the station and put in about 8-12 hours as a DJ until they could get everything in order.
