No truer words have been said about Democratic politics since FDR said he welcomed their hatred (monied interests.) We need to stop being professor prissy pants singing kumbaya. Who they hell ever thought that would work in a country like ours? To borrow from Sherman, politics is a nasty business and you cannot refine it. Governing is where statesmanship and fairness lives. But you don't get to do the governing part until you do politics proficiently. We've not been proficient for some time now. More tone deaf and disconnected. That's got to stop.
