39. And it shows the power of speaking the truth boldly

The natural tendency of modern Dems is to hedge and sugar-coat everything. This doesn't cut through the noise. We can see that these hard-hitting attacks are kryptonite to Trump.

Why? Trump is deeply insecure emotionally. All bullies are. Trump's strongest supporters are white seniors. A person who is 70 today was in their 30s when Reagan was in office, and many of them remember Reagan very fondly. We can see Trump's insecurity daily with all those references to himself as "your favorite President." An unfavorable comparison to Reagan is Trump's worst nightmares because he loses that comparison, at least among his senior base.

We would do very well to turn the next 3 years into a Trump versus Reagan debate within the GOP. And we have natural allies with Canada and Mexico. They both have every reason to despise Trump and will help us if we act strategically. For example, Schumer, Newsom, Jeffries and other prominent Dems should be making highly visible trips to Canada and Mexico and private meetings with their leaders. It doesn't matter what is discussed. Any such meetings will make Trump's head explode.

Yes, I know this "violates old norms". Even more reason to do so. Trump is a very paranoid person. This will drive him crazy.
