Also what about those recent news stories where celebrities got their children into a highly competitive school (grades weren't good enough, but we found another way) by getting them admitted through varsity athletic scholarships?
Now that I think about it, Harvard could have accepted Barron Chump as a varsity basketball player and nobody would have batted an eye. If they don't have varsity basketball, OK what about ice hockey? I don't even know if he's athletically inclined, but it wouldn't have mattered. The college coaches and athletic directors have a lot of leeway in offering varsity scholarships and in some cases, it has encouraged abuse and fraud.
