Yes, in 2010 here in Wisconsin, Democrats controlled the state government with a Democratic governor. But too many Democrats were pissed at Obama for not getting single payer healthcare so they decided not to vote in that midterm election while Republicans turned out to vote like it was their duty. The result?
In a single election the state flipped from total Democratic control to total Republican control. Scott Walker was elected governor and Ron Johnson beat Russ Feingold for the Senate seat.
When Democrats choose not to vote for the Democratic candidate, or not vote at all,
bad things happen. Sadly, we just cannot seem to learn from that lesson.
