10. Remember that the vast majority are "local" events

so it keeps "the locals" engaged.

We have primary elections here in PA in a couple weeks so these events are places where speakers can remind people locally TO VOTE (and to tell the attendees to tell their family, friends, neighbors, coworkers to vote).

We (i.e., not literally DUers who are keeping up to date politically) need to stop sitting out primaries, special, and even general elections in off-years.
