I would expect the judge to enjoy judicial immunity - and cannot be sued.

The State has sovereign immunity under Art. I, Sec. 14 of the Alabama Constitution: "That the State of Alabama shall never be made a defendant in any court of law or equity."

I suspect there can be no recovery.
