since one cannot claim to know what the secretive Mossad has or has not done (major exception: the pursuit of the Munich Olympics murderous Palestinians), there can be no claim about the organization's ascribing its actions to others. Plus, if Mossad has so attributed, it just might be because it's the truth. But if you have proven examples of Mossad lying perfidy, I, as an amateur student regarding the Mossad, would be interested in any.

2.) "Pretend[ing] it was an accident" presupposes two things: it wasn't; and you have certain factual knowledge of the event, the operative word's being "knowledge." BOTH THE US AND ISRAELI GOVTS CONCLUDED THE ATTACK ON THE USS LIBERTY WAS AN ACCIDENT. Be that as it may---and skepticism is never unwarranted, IMO, when it comes to official government statements---there was no "blaming someone else," which is your premise.
