No, there are no guarantees, but nothing in life is guaranteed. It's not like there is a better alternative available. If Mills hadn't dropped out, there might be something to debate, but at this point, the only choices here are 1. Platner or 2. six more years of Susan fucking Collins! We know exactly what we would get with her, and I for one have had my fill! Taking a gamble on Platner sounds greatly preferable to me. If I lived in Maine, I would definitely vote for him.
