In reply to the discussion: Massie Says GOP Leaders in 'Full Panic' Over Epstein Files [View all]Wiz Imp

It's a bill to require the Attorney General to release all documents and records in possession of the Department of Justice relating to Jeffrey Epstein, and for other purposes. In order to be binding, it needs to pass both the House and Senate and be signed by the President.

Once Grijalva is sworn in and the needed signatures are secured, Massie must wait at least seven legislative days to bring the bill to the floor.
House leaders can also wait two legislative days before putting it to a vote. The bill is likely to face an uphill battle in the Senate if it clears the House, but it will force Republicans to go on record over the Epstein files.

Thune has already refused to commit to even bringing it to the floor in the Senate.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., wont commit to a Senate vote on legislation that would require the Justice Department to release files on the sex trafficking investigations into Jeffrey Epstein. But he said that he believes transparency is always best.
Asked on Tuesday if the Senate would vote on the bill if it is passed by the House, Thune said I cant comment on that at this point.
Thune said the Justice Department has already released tons of files related to this matter.
I trust them in terms of having the confidence that theyll get as much information out there as possible in a way that protects the rights of the victims, Thune said.

I agree, expose all the wrongdoers. We aren't in a cult, so we don't really care.

Why would Massie report that Republicans was in a panic if he thought the files would only implicate Democrats?
