(839 posts)25. Unfortunately you will get no argument from me about that.
I am 81. I expect that our situation in the US will only get worse. My MAGA brothers see my sister's experience first hand, but they still badmouth the Canadian system. I'll never see single payer, and I expect less and less access to resources as I get older and more infirm.
Fortunately I'm good for now.
But the facts about Canadian health care still stand.

Sad thing is, a Pew Poll in 2023 showed 57% of population supports universal coverage, but 53% want private insurance.
