It will get a LOT worse before it gets better.

Everyone here needs to read "The Fourth Turning is Here" by Neil How

The last fourth turning was the Great Depression and WWII. Right now we're essentially in 1939. The Depression is mostly over, but there's a war in Europe that will get really bad before it finally ends.

Right now we're seeing Trump try to reshape this country and government to be just like one of his failed businesses. He only appoints completely unqualified people to whatever jobs. Good people are resigning en masse. Scientists are taking jobs in other countries.

I am strongly encouraging My Son The Astronomer to apply for an astronomy job elsewhere. I hope he does.
