The SC is allowing Trump to deport people to countries not their own, where they do not speak the language and including to a dangerous war zone like Sudan. The threat of being sent to a notorious prison in El Salvador or to the Florida Everglades where they’ll be left to rot may drive many people to leave. Migrants who self deport at least can choose where to go instead of living in fear of ICE and prison. I feel especially bad, though, for the workers who have been here for many years doing the hard jobs and paying taxes that support the US economy. They and their families do not deserve this cruel, mean treatment. Others may be too fearful to go back to their countries because they would face life-threatening violence there.
