Not just a bad used car salesman, but a caricature of a bad used car salesman. It is absolutely surreal.

If it was a movie, they would be able to recognize what a goofy fraud he is. In Back to the Future, everyone recognized Biff for what he was. No one would have seen him as some kind of a savior.
