If the Democratic ticket only talk about themselves, they're not drawing enough contrast with the opponent or pointing out his flaws.
If they do draw the contrast and point out those flaws, they're bashing the other guy and not being positive in presenting their own policy positions.
If they draw very specific policy proposals with great details and white papers, they're making laundry lists and losing voters with too many words when simple bumper sticker messenges would resonate.
If they boil it down to a few specifics, then they aren't being clear, they haven't explained why they're running, and nobody hears what they're offering.
If they offer things voters like, there's something wrong with how they did it -- how they talk, dress, laugh, or maybe a word out of place!
The other guy talks out of both sides of his mouth, has all the decorum of a bratty 6-year-old, and lies constantly, but they're not supposed to mention that too much, or we're back to the top...
