67. A successful payoff from a 30-year campaign to defund and delegitimize education
Wed Jun 25, 2025, 04:06 PM
Jun 25

We now value what's familiar, popular, and easily digestible over what's rational, effective, and meaningful—interrupted, of course, by hourly commercial breaks. Opinions are carefully weighted and packaged and delivered on polished cable news platforms, making viewers more emotionally attached to the newscaster than the news itself (very few days go by that we can avoid the juicy gossip or exceptional behaviors of these B-level celebrities we once called news hosts).

The idiots who tell me "that was never taught in my school!" are the same idiots who ditched class the day that was taught.
