If Cuomo runs on an independent line, the general election might be Adams (independent), Cuomo, Mamdani and Sliwah. Although more complicated with 2 independents, this reminds me of Joe Lieberman losing the primary to Lamont then running as an independent. The Republicans had a very weak candidate and Lieberman got much of the Republican vote along with some Democrats.

Here the Republican is a perennial loser. That means we may have the vote split mostly between the three of them. This would be a general election . Obviously Republicans are unlikely to vote for a Democratic socialist. I honestly could see anyone of the three winning ... especially given the baggage of both Adams and Cuomo.
