Personally, if I'm out there on the sidewalk not bothering a soul and 6 big guys in kevlar rush me, all I'm thinking about is live through it and please bring my purse with me. Next comes let me call my family and I need a lawyer - and probably I need my medicine.

You might be right in the age of social media. Maybe putting their faces on social media so the kids and wife and parents get threatened will be effective to stopping this, but I have not seen that to be true thus far in life.
