He’s doing it because he finally can. Under Trump I there were too many nagging, pesky grown-ups. Now he has a clear runway. He has ALWAYS been a complete fucking idiot when it comes to tarriffs. He has ALWAYS lived by the worldview that everyone is out to screw you so the only way to be a winner is to screw them first and screw them harder.
