The harvesting and creating of the gardens is very soothing, meditative. The only thing that is a bit of a distraction is having to ward of deer and wood ticks as I gather, no mosquitoes yet. Better than warding of the horrors as they come, day after day. Like medicine, I'd rather take it in a single, metered dose.

I've lived by that prayer for over forty years. Meditation, mindfulness, and the pursuit of equanimity are a big help.
