No one likes it but we always did our best,, especially those in public like a Memorial day parade. We weren't as good as the high school bands with their pretty twirlers, but we looked sharp in our class As, shiny low quarter shoes and in perfect step. We did a snappy eyes right or left when passing the reviewing stand.

Nothing in this parade showed any sense of unit cohesiveness and pride.

It reminded me of when the Rice University band aka the Mob made fun of the Texas A&M Aggie band on Kyle field. Except the Marching Owl Band that doesn't march is fun and entertaining.
