BREAKING: SCOTUS Has Chance to Kill Mail Ballot Grace Periods, Upend Election Law - Democracy Docket
Mississippi is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold its mail-in ballot grace period, which allows mail-in ballots to be counted if they're sent back by voters by Election Day and received by officials shortly after.
Mississippi is fighting back against a challenge from the Republican National Committee to strike down the law. Depending on how SCOTUS rules, it could change how over a dozen states conduct elections. Marc Elias and Paige Moskowitz discuss. - 06/06/2025.
